Maine is pretty
Well, I think my first trip to Maine was a resounding success. The work part was fun (albeit tiring) and the leisure part offered a much-needed break from technology (among other things).
After spending the night with a friend outside of Portland, we trekked up to Bangor to visit the Hammond Street Senior Center and then moved on to the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, both Revelation to Action Finalists that I had the pleasure of filming for a video project.
On Friday, I managed the weekly ReTweet competition and blog post for Changemakers before officially signing off for camping, hiking, swimming, napping, strolling, eating, and relaxing in Acadia National Park. I could continue to list the amazing awesomeness of the weekend but maybe I’ll just let a few of the pictures speak for themselves….

Doesn't this look like Maine's version of Mont Saint-Michel?

Anxiously awaiting our lobster dinner

Yum

Bathrooms and lighting fixtures: two of my favorite things to photograph

Thought of my mom with this one: Irises at Jordan Pond

More storefront fun, this time in Southwest Harbor

This is where Dan and I summer: our tent

Sad to kill our campfire but we needed to go to sleep
